If you are hoping to purchase a home in Montana, HomeStretch might be for you. Learn more about the program and whether you qualify.

Are you eligible?

HomeStretch is a program designed to make homeownership attainable for Montanans. See the eligibility requirements below and view the map to see if the county you are purchasing in is participating in the program. 

Borrower must be working through an approved 1st mortgage lender. First mortgage must be fixed and fully amortizing. 

Borrower must be purchasing in a NeighborWorks-approved county and the house must be owner-occupied.

Borrower must engage in a HomeStretch-specific counseling session.

Borrower must be between 60% and 140% area median income (AMI) for the state or the county – whichever is less. Borrower will be required to contribute 1% of the purchase price from their own funds.

AMI for Mineral County capped at 80%

Borrower must understand and agree to the equity share.
